Problem is with that with AOL there is no particular dial up connection in the list. I've also tried the RAS Monitor from the resource kit but it doesn't see the AOL connection either. Or do you know any other way to see the connection speed (short of watching the 3 second notice you get when it connects)

In any case, the initial connect speed is not really as interesting as the data transfer rate - after all, the connection speed may be renegotiated during the call. Something like WS_FTP Pro gives detailed feedback on transfer rates, but I think almost any monitoring system will use sampling. -- Paul.
